Will Ferrell is a huge fan of the L.A. Kings, and he’s not shy about it. I mean, Ferrell isn’t a shy guy in general, so we shouldn’t be surprised. During a recent Stanley Cup Playoff game, Ferrell went all-out to support his beloved hockey team.

Ferrell, 55, attended the National Hockey League’s 2023 Stanley Cup Playoffs in Los Angeles’ Crypto.com Arena on Friday night (April 22) and wore a black-and-white checkered makeup look on his face. The checkered makeup was in honor of the Kings, as black and white are their representative colors. He also sported a white Kings bomber jacket and black beanie with the Kings’ famed logo.

The Kings took on the Edmonton Oilers in Game 3 of the Western Conference First Round. Perhaps Ferrell’s look helped them win, as the L.A. team beat the Oilers in Game 3, 3-2.

The NHL, of course, noticed Ferrell’s look. They tweeted a clip of him watching the game with the words, “We’re loving the look, Will.” Moreover, the L.A. Kings tweeted a photo of Ferrell’s face, writing, “Will brought his game face, too.” View the tweet below.

In other news, Ferrell is next scheduled to guest star on the final episode of “The Late Late Show” with James Corden with Harry Styles. That episode will air on April 27 on CBS. It’s a full-circle kind of thing, as he was one of Corden’s first guests when Corden started hosting the show in 2015.

The Stanley Cup Playoffs are all kinds of wild this year. On Saturday, Michael Amadio of the Las Vegas Knights tallied the double-overtime winner to lead the Vegas Golden Knights to a win over the Winnipeg Jets, 5-4. That’s not super crazy, but what is funny is that Amadio and the Golden Knights’ Twitter account dedicated the major win to team pet “Goldie,” the goldfish. Check out the tweet below.
