The Holiday & Winter Indoor Farmers Markets in Springfield, Illinois, are moving to a new venue and schedule.

The monthly indoor farmers market will kick off its season this Saturday (Nov. 20). The events will run on the third Saturday of each month from November through April, for six markets. Hours are 8 a.m. to 12 p.m.

The market will be located in a new venue offering both indoor and outdoor spaces at Union Station, located on Madison Street in downtown Springfield. During the winter, the new venue will have a dedicated sheltered outdoor and heated indoor space.

The monthly event gives locals the chance to buy local and purchase fresh produce and local meats from area farmers.
