Michigan football has seen an excellent season, as Jim Harbaugh and his team are 11-0 going into this weekend’s big game. That game, of course, is Michigan vs. rivals Ohio State. You can say Michigan simply had an easy season, but winning games week after week isn’t easy, no matter your opponent.
Not only is Michigan undefeated this season- so is Ohio State. That makes this Saturday’s game one of the most high-profile in college football for the season. The winner will likely head to the college football playoff.
This is a big deal for Harbaugh. He’s had an up-and-down run with the Wolverines. Last year, after losing every single game he had ever played against Ohio State, he finally pulled off a win. This year marks the chance for Harbaugh to prove he was always the right guy to lead the legendary Wolverine football team. A win would change his story in the Michigan football history books. It would also make Michigan the uncontested dominant team in the Big Ten.
Last year, Michigan’s front four were out in full force for the entire Ohio State game- and it worked. They’ll try to accomplish that again this weekend. If Michigan has the kind of game that they recently did against Illinois, which was too close for comfort, they’ll likely lose- and lose big. After all, they aren’t always the most reliable team. Sometimes, Michigan falls to an unassuming opponent. Look at last year’s match up against their other rivals, the Michigan State Spartans. That was the only game they lost that season, and the Spartans weren’t even expected to win.
The Wolverines have to play a clean game this weekend. They can’t make any mistakes, or at least, not big ones. Currently, the Ohio State vs. Michigan score prediction has ESPN’s SP+ projection model giving Ohio State a 62% chance to win the game and defeat Michigan, 28-22. SI Sportsbook has Ohio State entering the game as eight point favorites to beat the Wolverines.
Kickoff for the Michigan vs. Ohio State game is noon Saturday (Nov. 26) at Ohio State.
