The NFL Honors took place on Thursday, February 6, honoring the sport’s top players for the 2024 season. The event brings out plenty of big names in sports, as well as celebrities in other areas and fans.
NFL Honors Brings Camera-Ready Moment
Former New England Patriots and current North Carolina head coach Bill Belichick was there. He’s not involved with the NFL right now, but he’s a huge name in sports and the NFL, so it makes sense that he would attend. He turned heads when he brought his 24-year-old girlfriend, Jordon Hudson, to the awards event.
Belichick is 72 years old, and his girlfriend is 24 years old, so this kind of relationship always draws attention. The six-time Super Bowl-winning head coach and his girlfriend ended up being at the funny end of some jokes during the evening.
Host Snoop Dogg couldn’t resist. During his opening monologue, he roasted Belichick in good fun, and the audience laughed. At least Belichick and his girlfriend seemed to find it funny, too, so no hurt feelings.
“I’ve been a football fan for a long, long time,” Snoop said. “I remember back when the Cowboys was good. I remember back when the Chiefs was bad. And I remember — what was it? Bill Belichick’s girlfriend wasn’t even born yet.”
Belichick and Hudson smiled and laughed following the joke, so it didn’t seem that too awkward a moment. What did they expect?
“Cameras then went straight to Hudson and Belichick, as she reacted with jaw-dropping shock, before giving it a pained chuckle as others in the Saenger Theater in New Orleans gasped and laughed. Belichick, meanwhile, softly laughed along,” People magazine wrote, explaining the moment.
“The couple, which boasts a 48-year age difference, has been together since 2022, according to a post on New Year’s Eve that gave the public their first sense of Belichick, 72, and Hudson’s dating timeline,” noted the New York Post in a piece about the event and couple.

Fans took to X to poke fun at the moment, too. “But she finds him attractive and loves him for himself right?” one stated.
“When your girlfriend is young enough to be your granddaughter, there is a cringeworthy line that is crossed,” another said.
“I love Bill Belichick but that’s hilarious! Wtg Snoop!” another stated.
Sure, they were a bit brutal to Belichick, but he’s allowed to date who he wants to date, and they honestly seem happy.

E! Entertainment stated that “before the ceremony, the couple walked the red carpet together to kick off Super Bowl LIX weekend while subtly celebrating Bill’s success in the big game, with him wearing four of his Super Bowl rings and Jordan wearing his other two.”
They add, “The former Bridgewater State University cheerleader donned a skin-baring silver dress with an asymmetrical cutout over her torso, while her boyfriend donned a red blazer and navy tie combo.”
