The Buffalo Bills have issued a statement saying Hamlin spent the night in the University of Cincinnati Medical Center’s intensive care unit. Hamlin is still at the hospital and remains in critical condition, according to the statement.
“Damar Hamlin spent last night in the intensive care unit and remains there today in critical condition at the University of Cincinnati Medical Center,” the Bills’ statement read via social media. “We are grateful and thankful for the outpouring of support we have received thus far.” View the full statement via Twitter below.
Hamlin’s family also released a statement on Tuesday thanking fans for the great support they received during the very “challenging time” for the family. They also thanked the 150,000-plus fans that have donated around $4 million to his charity toy drive fund. They want fans to know that the outpouring of support is truly touching their hearts.
“On behalf of our family, we want to express our sincere gratitude for the love and support shown to Damar during this challenging time. We are deeply moved by the prayers, kind words, and donations from fans around the country,” the statement read.
The NFL has also announced that the game between the Bills and Bengals would “not be resumed this week.” They also haven’t decided anything “regarding the possible resumption of the game at a later date.”
