Caitlin Clark and Angel Reese are rivals on the court. Clark plays for the Indiana Fever, and Reese is on the Chicago Sky. But, the two will be teammates for one game. That’s because both players are going to take on the Olympics Team USA.

Both Caitlin Clark and Angel Reese were left off Team USA at the 2024 Olympics. which has created some buzz and controversy. But, both players are handling the diss well. It’s not really a bad thing, really, because both Clark and Reese have a lot to be proud of when it comes to their rookie seasons in the WNBA. But, both are brand new to the WNBA, so they’ll have their opportunity to play for the USA in the Olympics, juts not yet.

Caitlin Clark and Angel Reese Will Be Teammates

Clark and Reese will team up in the 2024 WNBA All-Star Game as members of Team WNBA, and they’ll take on Team USA. So, how were these players picked for the All-Star Game? First, there was a fan vote for the team, which counted 25% toward the final roster. Clark, not surprisingly, scored the top position in the fan voting portion. Reese finished fifth. Coaches also voted. Reese and a several of the other players were picked to Team WNBA after the coaches voted. According to the rules, coaches were not allowed to vote for their own players. They also, of course, weren’t allowed to vote for Team USA players, because they were already assigned to an All-Star team.

The WNBA players who were automatically named All-Stars include Clark (Fever), Aliyah Boston (Fever), Dearica Hamby (Sparks) and Arike Ogunbowale (Wings). All of those ladies finished in the top 10 of overall All-Star voting and were not already on the Team USA roster. The rest of the All-Stars include DeWanna Bonner (Sun), Allisha Gray (Dream), Brionna Jones (Sun), Jonquel Jones (Liberty), Kayla McBride (Lynx), Kelsey Mitchell (Fever) and Nneka Ogwumike (Storm).

This year’s Team USA for the 2024 Paris Olympics includes Napheesa Collier (Lynx), Kahleah Copper (Mercury), Chelsea Gray (Aces), Brittney Griner (Mercury), Sabrina Ionescu (Liberty), Jewell Loyd (Storm), Kelsey Plum (Aces), Breanna Stewart (Liberty), Diana Taurasi (Mercury), Alyssa Thomas (Sun), A’ja Wilson (Aces) and Jackie Young (Aces).

How to Watch Team Caitlin Clark and Angel Reese vs. Team USA

The whole point of the All-Star Game is to get people pumped for the 2024 Paris Olympics. The event should especially build excitement around Team USA and their run at the Games. The big game is set for Footprint Center in Phoenix on Saturday, July 20 and will air at 8:30 p.m. ET on ABC. Also, before the event, a skills challenge and three-point contest will happen Friday, July 19 at 6 p.m. ET and air on ESPN.
