The Cleveland Orchestra will honor the life and good works of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. with a concert at the Severance Music Center on Sunday, Jan. 16, 2022.
Associate conductor Vinay Parameswaran will lead the concert. The event will feature soprano Jacqueline Echols and spotlight music from prominent Black composers, such as Dolores White, Mary D. Watkins, Carlos Simon, Brian Raphael Nabors, William Grant Still and Samuel Coleridge-Taylor.
What’s even better is that the show is free. Tickets are required and available on a first-come, first-served basis, starting at 10 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 8, by calling 216-231-1111 or 800-686-1141 or online or in person. The show is expected to sell tour.
Tickets are limited to four per household.
