The Philadelphia Eagles are Super Bowl champs again. The Birds pulled off a huge 40-22 win against the Kansas City Chiefs in Super Bowl 59 in New Orleans, which means Philly’s got a parade coming up.
“We did it y’all,” Mayor Cherelle Parker said at a press conference on Tuesday, sharing the parade details. She reminded everyone that the Eagles started their season 2-2, but the team bounced back and made it happen.
“I messed up big time and your mayor had a viral moment,” Parker joked about misspelling the Eagles chant. She clarified how it’s really spelled: “N-F-L C-H-A-M-P-I-O-N-S.”
Here’s the scoop on the celebration, including when and where it’s happening and what fans can look forward to. Get ready to party, but do so responsibly.

What time does the parade start?
The parade will kick off at 11 a.m. from Broad and Pattison avenues right outside Lincoln Financial Field. By 12:30 p.m. to 1 p.m., players, coaches, and others will get ready to head down the “Rocky” steps at the art museum. They’ll start giving speeches around 2 p.m. The speeches should wrap up by 3 p.m.
What’s the parade route?
The parade will start at Broad and Pattison avenues and head down Broad Street toward City Hall, then continue onto the Ben Franklin Parkway. It’ll finish up at the Philadelphia Museum of Art, where the speeches will happen. Fifteen jumbotrons will be set up along the route for everyone to see clearly, officials said.
What’s the weather looking like for the parade?
As of Tuesday morning, it looks like it’ll be sunny with a high of 36 degrees. That’s great. For those who remember the Eagles’ first Super Bowl parade after their Super Bowl 52 win against the New England Patriots, don’t forget to dress warm.
Will I have cell phone service at the parade?
Philadelphia managing director Adam Thiel advised having backup communication plans since cell service might be tricky with around a million people expected to show up.
How Safe Will It Be?
What safety measures are in place for the Super Bowl parade?
City officials said law enforcement will be out in full force on Friday. Of course, Philadelphia Police Commissioner Kevin Bethel reminded fans not to ruin this special day with any bad behavior.
After the Eagles’ Super Bowl win on Sunday, the police made nearly 20 arrests for things like vandalism and assault. They also issued about 30 citations for disorderly conduct. That’s not a good look for Philly or the Keystone State.
If you’re in need of a free ride, you’re in luck, because free rides will be available on SEPTA’s Broad Street and Market-Frankford lines.
