We’ve all had those situations where we’ve made a bet and then regretted it after losing. Maybe it was a monetary bet that hurt the pocketbook. Or, possibly worse, maybe it was a non-monetary bet that turned out to be an embarrassing deal for the losing party. Well, Detroit Lions wide receiver Amon-Ra St. Brown now knows what it like to lose an embarrassing “agreement.”

St. Brown played football three seasons at USC from 2018 to 2020. He had to dress up in a Notre Dame Fighting Irish outfit on Thursday (Oct. 19) due to an “agreement” he made with Detroit Lions linebacker Julian Okwara. As the story goes, Okwara played four years at Notre Dame and St. Brown played three. so, the two had a little “agreement” on the Notre Dame and USC game last weekend.

So, what was this “agreement” or “bet?” If USC won the big game, Okwara would have to dress as Tommy Trojan, which is USC’s mascot. On the contrary, if Notre Dame won, St. Brown would have to wear a bunch of Notre Dame gear. What happened was Notre Dame tromping over USC last weekend in South Bend, Indiana, with a final score 48-20.

What was even better is that St. Brown did is regular post-practice interviews with the press on Thursday in a leprechaun outfit.

But, make no mistake. This wasn’t a “bet.” St. Brown made clear that his deal with Okwara was an “agreement” and not a bet. That’s because a handful of Detroit Lions players were suspended during the offseason for violating the NFL’s gambling policy. Check out a photo of St. Brown dressed up below.

In other news, it’s a big weekend for the Detroit Lions. The team has won four straight games, following their one loss to the Seattle Seahawks in Week 2. So, they’re 5-1 and tied for the No. 1 team in the NFL.

Next up for the Lions: Detroit will take on Baltimore at 1 p.m. Sunday (Oct. 22) on Fox. The game will take place at M&T Bank Stadium in Baltimore, Maryland. Looking at the rest of this weekend’s schedule, one of the more high-profile games is the Miami Dolphins vs the Philadelphia Eagles at 8:20 p.m. on NBC. That game takes place at Lincoln Financial Field in Philadelphia.
