It was a really eventful weekend for Jared Goff. No, football season hasn’t started. But, over the weekend, the Detroit Lions quarterback got married to Sports Illustrated model Christen Harper. The two have been preparing for this wedding for years now, and there was lots of anticipation around the big event. Even football fans have been waiting to see when this special day would take place, since the two kept the wedding details pretty secret from the media.

Detroit Lions Quarterback Jared Goff Marries Christen Harper

Jared Goff and Christen Harper got married in a gorgeous outdoor ceremony at the Ojai Valley Inn in Ojai, California, on Saturday (June 22). This was really a picturesque wedding. It was absolutely stunning in every way.

Goff and Harper got engaged in 2022, so this wedding has been in the planning stages for a while now. They opted to get married in a small ceremony with close family and friends.

So, what did the bride wear? That’s something I always want to know. I’ve been waiting for a while to see what kind of dress Harper would wear for this once-in-a-lifetime occasion. So, what did she go with? Harper wore a white strapless wedding dress, which was so beautiful and sparkly, and lace veil. Goff looked great, too, in a black tuxedo and bowtie.

Check out some photos of the wedding courtesy of TMZ Sports below. TMZ Sports also said that, “Harper was pretty emotional during the ‘I Dos’ … wiping back tears as she officially became Mrs. Goff.”

So, where will these two go for their honeymoon? Considering they didn’t divulge the details of their wedding, it’s no surprise that they’re keeping their honeymoon a secret, too. The two have already been to many exotic places, thanks to Harper’s job as a swimsuit model and Goff’s NFL career. But, wherever they go, there will likely be a beach, since Harper is a swimsuit model.

I am so happy for Goff and Harper and wish them much happiness. It’s really been a banner year for Goff, as he recently became one of the highest-paid players in the NFL. Last month, Goff inked a four-year extension worth up to $212 million, making him one of the highest-paid signal-callers in the league.

“The fans — and everything they’ve meant to me, the support they’ve shown. They’re a big reason why I’m able to stand here today,” Goff said about signing the Detroit deal in a press conference. “The ultimate success is winning the Super Bowl.”

“I think I play my best when I’m doubted,” Goff said. “So like, (I’ll) continue to find ways and maybe fabricate ways if not, that’s part of the answer and it’s also the internal motivation to want to win for this city, for my teammates and for my coaches…this city means so much to me now, there aren’t as many external motivators as there are internal motivators, I just want to win for them. I want our fans to enjoy the success we’ve had for the last year and a half and continue to do that.”
