Beasley Makes Franchise History for 3s
After starting the fourth quarter with his seventh and final 3-pointer of the night, Beasley got smiles and high fives from his teammates as he left the game. With 212 made 3-pointers this season, he now holds the franchise record for the most 3-pointers in a season, beating Saddiq Bey’s record of 211 from 2021-22. With 27 games still to play, Beasley has plenty of chances to add to that total.
He’s currently second in the league for made 3-pointers, just behind Minnesota Timberwolves player Anthony Edwards, who has 220.
Tuesday’s game marked the Pistons’ third consecutive win where they led by at least 20 points at halftime. On Sunday, they were ahead of the Charlotte Hornets 66-46 at Little Caesars Arena, and two days earlier, they led the Philadelphia 76ers by 29 points (78-49) during another home win.
But the way they dominated the Bulls on Tuesday was something else. They were already up by 16 after the first quarter and then kicked off the second quarter with a 29-4 run, leaving the United Center crowd booing with lots of time still on the clock. Their 42-point lead at halftime matched the Bulls’ largest halftime deficit in franchise history.
