It seems like each week, New York Giants head coach Brian Daboll has some kind of a sideline meltdown, and it’s always entertaining. Honestly, it’s nice to see so much passion in a head coach. Sure, most NFL coaches are passionate, because they’re part of how they goto where they did. But, Daboll is just beside himself a lot of the time and angsty, and it’s fun, because you can just tell that he’s just super into the game.

Giants’ Brian Daboll Freaks Out on the Sidelines

Daboll’s latest meltdown happened towards the end of the team’s game against the Seattle Seahawks on Sunday, October 6. With 1:55 left on the clock, New York had the ball on their own 28-yard line and were third-and-4 while with a 23-20 lead. Quarterback Daniel Jones threw a pass to Darius Slayton, which was incomplete. Daboll freaked out.

Daboll addressed closest referee, saying that he believed Slayton had been held. He was in top form. Watch some video footage of the Daboll moment above.

Unfortunately for the Giants, it didn’t change the official’s mind. The New York Giants had to punt the ball away. From there, the Hawks got the ball and made it down the field to the Giants’ 28-yard line. They tried for a field goal to tie the game, but the Giants blocked it and even returned it for a touchdown, making their lead 29-20. The game ended, and the Giants won, 29-20. It was a huge upset, since the Seahawks were 3-1 going into this game, and it was in Seattle. It’s a very good thing for Giants fans, who have felt pretty dismal about this season, so far.

Brian Daboll Tries to Control the Locker Room

After the game, the Giants were obviously super happy with the win. They were celebrating in the locker room, but some of it was getting caught on camera, and Daboll wasn’t too happy about that, either.

Daboll reprimanded Giants wide receiver Wan’Dale Robinson, who was livestreaming the locker room celebration on his Instagram account. The Giants were celebrating with cheers and loud music when Robinson had to turn off the livestream.

Daboll wasn’t trying to be mean, though. The NFL is “family-friendly,” and they try to make sure nothing goes out that would have to be censored.

The Giants, and Robinson, really had a reason to celebrate with that win. Robinson scored the first touchdown of the day for the Big Blue with a seven-yard TD from Daniel Jones. Overall, Robinson had in six balls for 36 yards and his touchdown. Jones threw for 257 yards, and that was even with star player Malik Nabers out.

The entire team was on points. Daboll’s play-calling was excellent, and Jones had one of the best games of his career.

Now, it’s onto the Giants’ next game in Week 6 againstĀ Cincinnati. They’ll definitely have confidence from this latest win, which again, was a major upset that wasn’t even on their own turf, as most predictions had them losing. They’re 2-3 for the year, which is a lot better than 1-3.
