Mark Lanegan, Screaming Trees frontman and Queens of the Stone Age collaborator, was recently hoping to put together a collaborative album with late Motorhead guitarist “Fast” Eddie Clarke.
Lanegan explained the idea in a tweet following Clarke’s death.
“RIP Fast Eddie Clark(e). I’ll never forget the meal we had together,” Lanegan tweeted. “A true gentlemen and one of my rock heroes.”
Lanegan added that he and Clarke “discussed making a record, but it was not to be.”
Clarke passed away Jan. 10 at 67 years old. He was the final surviving member of Motorhead’s “classic” lineup.
