It’s going to be hard for the NFL to top the surprises they served up during NFL Week 6. The only two remaining undefeated teams in the league, the Philadelphia Eagles and San Francisco 49ers, both lost in huge upsets. What’s more, the Eagles lost to the New York Jets, which has never happened in franchise history. This was a huge surprise, especially since the Jets are without star quarterback Aaron Rodgers this season. Is it because this was the weekend of Friday the 13th? Moreover, the Buffalo Bills almost lost to the New York Giants and barley squeaked by the Bills in the final minutes of the game. So, looking ahead, what’s the full NFL Week 7 schedule?
First things first: Let’s get into the bye weeks. A whopping six teams have by weeks this week, so if one of these is your teams, you’re going to want to pick some backup games. Teams with bye weeks this week include the Carolina Panthers, Cincinnati Bengals, Dallas Cowboys, Houston Texans, New York Jets and Tennessee Titans.
The NFL Week 7 has some interesting games, but probably nothing as interesting as last weekend’s matchups. The biggest game of the week is a face-off between two 5-1 teams: the Miami Dolphins vs. the Philadelphia Eagles. The game will take place on Sunday Night Football and should be an interesting watch. The Eagles are 2.5-point favorites over the Dolphins, and they’re coming off that surprising loss to the Jets, so they’re angry and ready for vindication. But, the Eagles are dealing with a lot of injuries right now, so this game could get more interesting than originally expected.
Another hot game this weekend is the Detroit Lions vs. Baltimore Ravens at M&T Bank Stadium in Baltimore, Maryland. The Lions are 5-1, and the Ravens are 4-2, but some betters have the Ravens pulling off a win here. Away games are always more difficult, but the Lions have some of the most loyal fans in the NFL. Often times, away games have Honolulu blue dominating the stands, with fans traveling as far as it takes to support their team. The Lions haven’t had this strong a record in decades, as they’re tied for the No. 1 best record in the NFL right now. If you think they’re going down without a fight, you’re mistaken.
