New music from Pearl Jam would be incredible in 2018, and fans have obviously been asking for new tunes for years now. So, what’s the status?
Pearl Jam bass player Jeff Ament was just interviewed on The Powell Movement, and he stated that the Pearl Jam crew is currently working on a new album, which will mark their first album of original tracks since 2013’s “Lightning Bolt.” Listen to the full interview below.
“We’ve sort of been in writing mode here in Seattle the last couple of months,” he said. “A typical day is getting together with anywhere from one to four of the guys and making music.”
No word yet on whether those new tunes will arrive in 2018, but it’s great to have confirmation that the band is in “writing mode” is certainly a step in the right direction.
