Mozart and Beethoven were the equivalent of “rock stars” in their time, so why not mesh their classical music with some rock greats?
The new Broadway show “Rocktopia” does just that. The production, which opens in March, brings together chart-toppers by Queen, Journey, Led Zeppelin, the Who and Elton John and blends them with works from classical compsoers.
The show, which was created by Rob Evan and Randall Craig Fleischer, kicks off a six-week run starting March 20 at The Broadway Theatre. Tickets are available now.
The first three weeks of the production will feature Train frontman Pat Monahan, and additional guest vocalists will come.
