As a Detroit Lions fan, I’m pretty happy that we’re in the NFC North, because it’s not the strongest division. In fact, it’s a pretty weak division this year, which makes it easier for the Lions to come out on top. The Detroit Lions’ only real competition is the Minnesota Vikings, but even though Kirk Cousins is a strong quarterback, in general, the Lions are looking stronger than the Vikings. Looking at all the NFL divisions, who has the strongest NFL Division for 2023?
Who Has the Strongest NFL Division for 2023?
In general, the AFC North looks like the strongest division this year. One reason for that is the Cincinnati Bengals, who are almost always Super Bowl favorites. The other teams in the division, including the Ravens, Browns and Steelers are also all strong. Of all the divisions, this AFC North will be the most fun to watch this year.
Another very strong division, which I would call a close second to the AFC North, is the NFC East. This division could have three playoff teams this year, just like last year, with the Eagles, the Cowboys and the Giants all looking to make the playoffs. This should also be an exciting division to follow.
The AFC West also looks strong, but most of the reason is because this division has the defending Super Bowl champions in the Kansas City Chiefs, with superstar quarterback Patrick Mahomes. The AFC East is another showy division, as it features the must buzzed-about New York Jets with quarterback Aaron Rodgers. The Jets are projected to be very strong this year, but even if they don’t live up to expectation, it will be interested to watch Rodgers with his new team.
The aforementioned NFL North, as I mentioned earlier, isn’t the strongest division right now. But, the Detroit Lions are favorites to win, and if they do, it would mark their first-ever NFC North championship. We need to rely on guys like Jared Goff, Amon-Ra St. Brown and Jameson Williams to make it happen. Find out who has the best defense in the NFL this year here.
