The NFL Draft has come and gone, and the 2024 NFL Draft picks are here. It was an exciting event that broke attendance records. At the end of the weekend in Motor City, the NFL Draft drew nearly 775,000 fans, which marked a new attendance record. That will also likely help Detroit economically. So, which teams came out on top? These teams get an A grade on their draft picks.

2024 NFL Draft Picks: These Teams Get A Grades

1. Philadelphia Eagles

Grade: A+

2024 NFL Draft Picks: CB Quinyon Mitchell, CB Cooper DeJean, EDGE Jalyx Hunt, RB Will Shipley, WR Ainias Smith, LB Jeremiah Trotter Jr., G Trevor Keegan, WR/TE Johnny Wilson, C/G Dylan McMahon

Commentary: I totally saw this one coming. GM Howie Roseman brought some A-listers to the Philadelphia Eagles. He had to deliver. With the team’s disappointing run last year, you knew Roseman was going to be serious this year. Now, Jalen Hurts and company should have plenty of talent to work with next season. So, they’ll have no excuses.

2. Washington Commanders

Grade: A+

2024 NFL Draft Picks: QB Jayden Daniels, DT Johnny Newton, CB Mike Sainristil, TE Ben Sinnott, G Brandon Coleman, WR Luke McCaffrey, LB Jordan Magee, S Dominique Hampton, EDGE Javontae Jean-Baptiste

Commentary: Brand new GM Adam Peters and new head coach Dan Quinn delivered in their first NFL Draft. Quinn is known for being defensive-minded, and that came out in the draft picks. Names such as Daniels, Newton and Sainristil are solid. They got a lot of talent, and they needed it, because the Commanders are rebuilding, and they have been for years.

3. Pittsburgh Steelers

Grade: A+

2024 NFL Draft Picks: OT/G Troy Fautanu, C Zach Frazier, WR Roman Wilson, LB Payton Wilson, G Mason McCormick, DT Logan Lee, DT Ryan Watts

Commentary: The Steelers were a sleeper hit. I didn’t expect them to pull out the best picks, but they did. They added to the historic offseason they had bringing in quarterbacks Russell Wilson and Justin Fields for a very low price.

4. Baltimore Ravens

Grade: A

2024 NFL Draft Picks: CB Nate Wiggins, OT Roger Rosengarten, EDGE Adisa Isaac, WR Devontez Walker, CB T.J. Tampa, RB Rasheen Ali, QB Devin Leary, C Nick Samac, S Sanoussi Kane

Commentary: The Ravens needed a good cornerback, and they took Nate Wiggins early in the draft. They also got T.J. Tampa later in the draft, so they’re really set. They should have an even stronger defense next season, if that’s even possible.

5 . Los Angeles Chargers

Grade: A-

2024 NFL Draft Picks: OT Joe Alt, WR Ladd McConkey, LB Junior Colson, DT Justin Eboigbe, CB Tarheeb Still, CB Cam Hart, RB Kimani Vidal, WR Brenden Rice, WR Cornelius Johnson

Commentary: This is Jim Harbaugh’s first year coaching the Chargers, and you knew he would pull out all the stops. He’s got Justin Herbert, one of the best quarterbacks in the game, so he needed to add players to help Herbet. That, he did.

6. Detroit Lions

Grade: A-

2024 NFL Draft Picks: CB Terrion Arnold, CB Ennis Rakestraw Jr., OT Giovanni Manu, S/RB Sione Vaki, DT Mekhi Wingo, G Christian Mahogany

Commentary: The Detroit Lions have been making some of the best draft picks lately, thanks to GM Brad Holmes. Even without many high picks this year, Holmes delivered, picking up two incredible cornerbacks who should greatly improve the Lions’ defense. They need help on that end, too.

7. Chicago Bears

Grade: A-

2024 NFL Draft Picks: QB Caleb Williams, WR Rome Odunze, OT Kiran Amegadjie, P Tory Taylor, EDGE Austin Booker

Chicago Bears: All the talk at the beginning of the draft was GM Ryan Poles and company signing star quarterback Caleb Williams. They’re really banking on him this season. They already have great players in D.J. Moore, Keenan Allen, D’Andre Swift, Gerald Everett and more, so now, they have a well-rounded team.
