It’s that time of the week when it’s time to start gearing up for a new round of NFL games. This week’s lineup packs a punch, with plenty of opportunities to sit in front of the TV and eat popcorn and candy corn while watching the NFL action. Here’s the NFL Week 6 schedule and some top games to watch.
Let’s look at the bye weeks first. Only two teams have a bye week, so expect lots of NFL goodness this weekend. The Green Bay Packers and Pittsburgh Steelers have bye weeks in NFL Week 6. The Packers will need it, after Monday night’s (Oct. 9) loss to the Las Vegas Raiders. I’m sure they desperate for some new strategies going forward.
The NFL Week 6 schedule has some competitive match-ups. One big game is the Seattle Seahawks and the Cincinnati Bengals, and even though this is a non-conference game, it’s one that will, in a way, be crucial to the outcome of both of their seasons. Another good match-up will be the Detroit Lions and Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Both teams have only lost one game this season, and both are hungry to win this one. The Indianapolis Colts and Jacksonville Jaguars play for the AFC South current lead, so that will be a good watch. Finally, the Dallas Cowboys and Los Angeles Chargers will play the big stage on Monday Night Football game. The Cowboys are looking for some redemption after that huge loss to the San Francisco 49ers this past week.
Of course, aside from those must-watch games, there are plenty of other good match-ups this weekend. Denver will take on Kansas City to kick off the week on Thursday night football. The Chiefs should win this one, but they’ve stumbled a bit this season, so it will be an interesting game to watch. Taylor Swift fans are already wondering if she’ll be at the game. Time will tell. Also, New York will take on Buffalo on Sunday night. Seeing as Buffalo were expected to be one of the best teams this year, and they’ve been falling a bit, that should be a competitive game.
Also, here are some takeaways and surprises from NFL Week 5.
