It’s weird to think that nobody wanted to be on HBO’s “Hard Knocks” this season. It seems like such great exposure, but NFL teams already have all the exposure they need. What they really want is to win games, and having the camera in their faces all the time can’t make that easier. That said, Aaron Rodgers and the New York Jets are on this season of “Hard Knocks.” It’s a great pick, since Rodgers is joining the Jets after his long run with the Green Bay Packers. Fans can’t wait to see if Rodgers brings the special spice that the Jets need to finally make the playoffs. Is this an Aaron Rodgers, New York Jets match made in heaven?

It’s crazy to think that Rodgers was with the Green Bay Packers for his entire career up until this point. That’s 18 years with the Packers.

Aaron Rodgers, New York Jets

“I’m just happy to be out here. Excited to be with you guys,” Rodgers said. “All I’m going to say is that this camp is a long camp, right? Let’s just enjoy the little things every single day. Take time to laugh a little bit. Find a conversation at lunchtime with somebody new, don’t always sit in the same little group. Get to know your teammates a little bit.”

He added, “That’s part of the leadership role. And just enjoy the little moments. It goes by fast, and then you get to be really old and gray, and savoring every little moment. So savor them right now.”

I honestly feel like it could go two ways for the New York Jets with Rodgers in the fold. It could be an amazing season for them, with Rodgers being the piece of the puzzle that they were missing. Or, it could be a disaster. Time will tell, but the pre-season starts now, so that time is almost here.
