The Dallas Cowboys came into Week 11 very motivated to take home a win, in order to stay in the game for the NFC East division. They were likely happy to see the Detroit Lions take down rivals the New York Giants early on Sunday (Nov. 20), but they still had to pull off a win against the Vikings, who have been winning game after game.

In fact, the Vikings were 8-1 going into Sunday’s match up. The Cowboys wanted to take care of business, though, and they sure did. They tore apart the Vikings in a game that saw them so dominant, CBS made the rare decision to not even televise into the third quarter.

It’s normal for a network to move from a game if it’s a total blowout, but Cowboys fans were not happy. Many voice their sadness on Twitter, since they really wanted to see their team sock it to the Vikings. I get it, but I also see why CBS would think a more exciting match up would make for better television.

Sunday’s game gave the Vikings with a chance to prove that they were a real force to be reckoned with in the NFC. Now, critics are really wondering about the team’s ability to win important, challenging games. The fact the team has won so many games by a hair adds to the idea that the Vikings aren’t as strong a team as their record implies. Still, you have to admit that Kirk Cousins and company have been impressive this year, at least up until Sunday’s huge loss.

The Minnesota Vikings are still likely going to be a playoff team, as they are way ahead in their division, the NFC North. It’s not a strong division, though, so many critics think they won’t get far. It’s up to Cousins and the Vikings to prove their worth with the remaining regular season games, including the next, which is Thanksgiving night against the New England Patriots.
