The Detroit Lions ended the 2022 season with a long string of wings. Now, the Lions are one of the most talked-about teams in the NFL, and in a good way. NFL critics and fans alike believe the Lions have what it takes to have a solid season in 2023 and maybe even make it to the playoffs. What’s more, Dan Campbell wants the Detroit Lions to win a Super Bowl.

Even with all the good hype, the Detroit Lions head coach isn’t letting it get to his head. He says the team still has a lot to prove. The last time they won a division title was in 1993, so that was a long, long time ago.

Campbell was a recent guest on Barstool Sports’ “Pardon My Take.” When on, he talked about how he’s getting his team ready for the upcoming season.

Detroit Lions, Super Bowl Talk

“I understand what’s out there, and look, we’ve got expectations for ourselves. We should be a better team,” he said. “That’s that’s what all this is about. Every year you’re in it, and you’re building the way Brad (Holmes) and I have and the players that we have, you’re developing, and we expect to be a better team than we were last year.”

He added, “We fully expect that, and we’ve got the same goals as most teams do. We want to win this division. We want to get in the playoffs.” Campbell continued, “We want to make noise. We want to win a Super Bowl, all that. I think for us, what’s interesting, we know what’s out there, but yet we haven’t done anything. Not like that.”

Wow. It’s great to see Campbell say that he wants to win a Super Bowl with a straight face. There was a time when that was only a joke, but nobody is laughing now. I personally think the Lions could make it close to the Big Game this season. Check out AlternativeFix.com’s list of the most valuable Lions players for 2023 here.
