It’s not too early to start thinking about who will win the Super Bowl. The final four teams go up against each other this weekend: The San Francisco 49ers, Baltimore Ravens, Detroit Lions and Kansas City Chiefs.

The Baltimore Ravens play the Kansas City Chiefs on Sunday (Jan. 28) at 3 p.m. ET in Baltimore. Then, the San Francisco 49ers are up against the Detroit Lions at 6:30 p.m. ET in California.

Super Bowl LVIII Winner Predictions

So, who will win Super Bowl LVIII? The folks at JeffBet.com have put together a bunch of data on the points scored in regular games during the 2023 season. They used the information to predict who will be crowned the Super Bowl winner on Feb. 11. The data also analyzed statmuse.com to find the number of points scored for the remaining four teams.

Let’s start with the team with the lowest chance of winning. It’s actually last year’s Super Bowl winners.

“Based on the points scored this season, the Kansas City Chiefs will be knocked out first as they go head-to-head against the Baltimore Ravens on Sunday,” the site explains. “The team have scored a total of 371 points this season, averaging at 21.8 points per game. The Chiefs are one of only seven clubs who have a minimum of five Pro Bowlers, including Travis Kelce, Patrick Mahomes, and Creed Humphrey – however, these star players could suffer a loss on Sunday.”

So, the Chiefs are out. The next team that will take a hike, according to the study, is the Detroit Lions. The site says they expect the 49ers to beat them, “based on their points scored this season being 461.”

“With an average of 27.1 points scored per game, which is the third lowest of the remaining teams, the Lions are one of the 12 that have never won a Super Bowl, and this year doesn’t look promising for them either,” they explain. Sad face.

Surprisingly, at least I think so, the Baltimore Ravens are the next team out. I predict the Ravens will win the whole thing, but according to JeffBet.com, the Ravens won’t be Super Bowl champion.

“The Baltimore Ravens boasts spectacular players such as Lamar Jackson, who won the MVP award back in 2019 and is the favorite to win this year; despite this, the Ravens’ points for this season may result in facing a loss at the Super Bowl,” they state.

That said, they predict the San Francisco 49ers to win the Super Bowl, with 491 points this season and an average of 28.9 points per game.

But, just because they predict the 49ers to win the Super Bowl, don’t give up hope if you’re a fan of one of the other teams. It’s all based on numbers, but football games are about more than numbers and analytics.

“The Super Bowl is an incredibly exciting occasion, even if your team hasn’t made it to the final two – so it’s interesting to analyze the points scored through the season to predict the winners,” a spokesperson from JeffBet.com said. “With that being said, the NFL is full of surprises, so even though the 49ers have scored the most points and are the favorites according to the bookmakers, anything can happen on any given Sunday.”
