Tom Brady really has retired from playing in the NFL for good this time. But, that doesn’t mean his life has nothing to do with football. Brady lives and breathes football. So, it’s not surprising that he’s still very much involved in the sport. During a recent Fox news appearance, Brady discussed not just NFL but also college football. He even named the college football team to watch in 2023.
Upon Brady’s retirement, he inked a deal with FOX Sports to serve as the network’s its No. 1 NFL game analyst starting in 2024. He debuted on the network on Saturday (Sept. 2). Brand also made an appearance on FOX Sports “Big Noon Kickoff” for the first week of the 2023 college football season.
Brady was on the show to to hype up the college football season. He, of course, spent his college years with the University of Michigan Wolverines. He was actually a sixth-round pick in 2000 and went on to become one of the NFL’s greatest quarterbacks. So, he might be a little biased when it comes to favorite college football teams. That said, he does have a favorite.

“Look, guys, I hate to ruin this for everyone else, but this is Michigan’s year,” Brady said on the show. “We’re coming off two back-to-back Big Ten titles, two straight Ohio State beatdowns. He added some kind words for head coach Jim Harbaugh. “Sorry, Urban. Look, Coach Harbaugh’s got all his key pieces back. He’s got a blue-chip quarterback in J.J. McCarthy. A two-headed monster in the backfield. And we got a loaded defense.”
That’s some major praise for the Wolverines. Whether or not the Wolverines will go all the way is anyone’s guess. But, they did obliterate the competition during their first game of the season last weekend. The Wolverines beat the East Carolina Pirates, 30-3, on Saturday (Sept. 2).
