Detroit Lions

The Detroit Lions are an interesting team this year. While the team currently has the longest active playoff drought in the NFC, they’re considered major contenders in 2023. It’s head coach Dan Campbell’s third season with the team, and the Lions are expected to win the NFC North. Moreover, quarterback Jared Goff rounded out last season with some stellar stats. He finished last season with a 99.3 passer rating and a total of 29 passing touchdowns, which marked his best numbers since 2018.

Kansas City Chiefs

The Kansas City Chiefs, of course, won the Super Bowl last year. They’ve actually won two Super Bowl titles in the past four years. This past win was a 38-35 victory over the Philadelphia Eagles in Super Bowl LVII. The team has the hottest quarterback in the NFL with Patrick Mahomes. With Mahomes in the helm and a solid roster, many think the Chiefs will be contenders to win the Super Bowl yet again this season. Back-to-back Super Bowl wins are rare, but they can happen, and this might be one of the few teams to pull it off.
