Well, here’s a regal heavy metal gift.
Danish Prime Minister Lars Løkke Rasmussen gifted Indonesia President Joko “Jokowi” Widodo with a Metallica’s just-released Master of Puppets reissue box, according to The Jakarta Post, at their bilateral meeting on Tuesday (Nov. 28).
The prime minster of Denmark apparently gave the president of Indonesia a Metallica box set because Jokowi is a big fan of metal, including Metallica, Megadeth and Lamb of God. Good taste.
Another reason for the gift is because drummer Lars Ulrich is from Denmark.
“Prime Minister Rasmussen understands my favorite (music),” Jokowi said.
