Tool new album alert! Tom Morello of Rage Against the Machine has been treated to a sneak listen of the new Tool music, and he calls it “sexy,” “epic” and “beautiful,” among other things.

On his Instagram, Morello has posted a photo of him with Carey, bass player Justin Chancellor and guitarist Adam Jones.

“Had the honor of being the first outsider to hear new #TOOL music today!!” Morello wrote in the photo’s caption.

Frontman Maynard James Keenan wasn’t in the photo, since only the instrumentals have been recorded thus far.

“Still just instrumentals but sounded epic, majestic, symphonic, brutal, beautiful, tribal, mysterious, deep, sexy and VERY Tool,” Morello wrote. “Really great. So excited to hear the record when it’s finished.”

Tool’s upcoming set will mark the band’s follow-up to 2006’s “10,000 Days.” Drummer Danny Carey recently stated that the new album is slated to arrive in 2018. I can’t wait, and I think you feel the same way.
