A handful of Indiana state parks will be closed to visitors for deer hunts later this month.

The hunts will take place from Nov. 15 to 16 and Nov. 29 to 30. The hunts will result in 17 parts being closed.

According to the Indiana Department of Natural Resources, wildlife biologists chose where the hunts should take place to create a healthy environment for native plants and animals.

The following parks are closing for hunts:
