A Cincinnati holiday favorite is back, as the Fountain Square Christmas tree arrived Saturday morning (Nov. 6).

The Norway Spruce was chosen by 3CDC and stands at 56-feet tall. It is positioned on the southwest corner of the square, adjacent to the skating rink.

“This tree is the centerpiece for many Cincinnati holiday traditions,” Andi Schultes, senior events production manager for 3CDC, said in a statement. “Our goal every year is to find a beautiful tree that will be a part of a lasting memory for Fountain Square visitors.”

Along with the tree coming to town, the UC Health Ice Rink, presented by Fifth Third Bank, opened for skating at 8 a.m. Saturday (Nov. 6).

The 2021 Macy’s Light Up the Square will be in-person this year and happen on Friday, Nov. 26, from 5 p.m. to 11 p.m.
