The Baltimore Ravens are having a good season this year, currently 6-3 going into their game this Sunday (Nov. 20) against the Carolina Panthers (3-7).

Ravens CB Marlon Humphrey has performed well this season, so fans always hope he’s in tip-top shape for each week’s game. The Alabama pick has registered 35 tackles, two interceptions and a fumble recovery. Not too shabby.

But, what if Humphrey isn’t feeling great going into the weekend? He has a remedy that he says he’s heard about on social media. Earlier this week, Humphrey tweeted that he saw on Instagram that if you’re feeling sick, you should sleep with an onion in your sock, and you’ll wake up the next day feeling so much better. Say what? His tweet is below.

This one really has me questioning life and getting philosophical. I know onions have antioxidants, but don’t you have to eat them to get the benefits? And why would an onion on your foot help anything? What about, if you have one, the person sleeping with you in bed? Aren’t they going to be grossed out by the whole thing?

Thankfully, Humphrey delivered on his promise to try this onion-in-a-sock-overnight thing. He tweeted out, “Update I’m healed,” so it apparently works.

I’m not sure if Humphrey is just having a little fun with his fans or if he really tried this whole thing, but regardless, it shows that he does have a sense of humor.

As for this Sunday’s game with the Ravens going up against the Panthers, most NFL experts have the Ravens taking this one home by at least a touchdown, if not more. Most agree that the high-caliber running and passing of Lamar Jackson will be a difficult thing for the Panthers’ defense to work around, plus it’s a road game for the Panthers, so the Ravens are looking plenty sweet.
