Ready for some Dave Portnoy gone wild? Portnoy is the founder and owner of Barstool Sports. He’s also a massive University of Michigan fan, since he graduated from the Ann Arbor-based university. I won’t hold that against him. I’m a Spartan, but I still love my Wolverine friends. So, Portnoy traveled to Pasadena, California, last weekend to watch Michigan take on Alabama in the Rose Bowl on New Year’s Day.

Portnoy took to social media to share his experience at the game. It was hilarious! Portnoy shared his halftime report and looked pretty nervous. That’s for good reason, too. It was a close game, and at halftime, it looked like it could go either way. I actually thought Nick Saban and Alabama would work some of their magic to pull off a win. I mean, Saban is just the kind of guy who seems to always have something up his sleeve and pull it off. But, the game went into OT, and Michigan won, 27-20, much to Portnoy’s delight.

Portnoy had a few reasons to be excited. Not only did his alma mater win the Rose Bowl, but he apparently won 1 million bucks on it doing some sports betting. It’s fun to see him jump up and down and celebrate the win and pretty much freak out. Watch the various stages of Portnoy’s celebration below.

The Michigan Wolverines, who are ranked No. 1, will go up against the Washington Huskies, ranked No. 2, at the CFP National Championship, presented by AT&T, on Monday (Jan. 8) at 7:30 p.m. ET. The game will take place at NRG Stadium in Houston, Texas. The game will air on ESPN and the ESPN App. If the Wolverines win the National Championship, it will be their first national title since 1997. If the Huskies pull off a win in the National Championship, it would mark their first national title since 1991. I’m not one of these Nick Saban-haters, but it’s nice to see a different university get some love on the field, not just Alabama all the time. That said, I do think Saban is the greatest college head football coach of all time, love him or hate him.

I’m guessing Portnoy will be at the National Championship game in Houston, and I can’t wait to see his reaction if Michigan actually wins the entire National Championship. Right now, the Wolverines are pretty heavily favored to win, so get your smart phone ready for footage, Portnoy. Check out more details on the big game here.

Now, there’s talk of Harbaugh going pro after the National Championship game. That’s not surprising. Every year, there are rumors of him going back to the NFL. It seems he always wants to go, but until a team bites, he stays with Michigan. This might be his magic year, as the Chargers seem interested. ESPN’s Jeremy Fowler previously reported the Los Angeles Chargers have done some “preliminary work” looking into Harbaugh to replace Brandon Staley. He could also end up with the Panthers, but then he would have to work for David Tepper. That guy threw a drink at a Jags fan last weekend and got fined $300,000 by the NFL for it. Don’t work for him, Harbaugh.
