49ers vs. Lions Odds

The San Francisco 49ers are favorites to beat the Detroit Lions, according to BetMGM NFL odds. The spread is 49ers (-7); the money line is 49ers (-300) and Lions(+240); and the over/under is 51.

49ers vs. Lions Predictions

SportingNews.com: 49ers 34, Lions 20

SportingNews.com predicts, “The Lions have had a great run, but it comes to an end, as they simply do not have enough defense to slow down all the 49ers’ weapons around Purdy. Goff will be under more duress all game with his backs being less of a factor than McCaffrey will. Aiyuk and Kittle also will explode for bigger games than St. Brown and LaPorta. Bosa and the defense flex again in the fourth quarter to shut the door.”

Tyler Dragon of USA Today: 49ers 27, Lions 21

Dragon favors the 49ers, saying, “Watch the battle in the trenches. These two teams excel in that area. But the 49ers have the more complete team and a stout defense headlined by All-Pro linebacker Fred Warner and 2022 NFL Defensive Player of the Year defensive end Nick Bosa. Deebo Samuel’s shoulder injury is concern. The 49ers aren’t the same without the versatile wideout, but San Francisco’s defense is going to make the Lions uncomfortable.” Read more USA Today writer picks here.

Anne Erickson of Alternative Fix: Lions 20, 49ers 17

I know the odds are against the Lions. But, the 49ers’ near-loss to Green Bay last weekend – at home, to boot – shows that they aren’t as unbeatable as thought. Plus, there’s still a question about whether 49ers wide receiver Deebo Samuel will be available to play on Sunday, Without Samuel, the 49ers will struggle against the Lions’ defense. What’s more, the Lions have one of the strongest offenses in the league right now. I expect this to be a close game, but the Lions will inch out a win.

Ravens vs. Chiefs Odds

The Baltimore Ravens are favorites to beat the Kansas City Chiefs, according to BetMGM NFL odds. The spread is Ravens (-3.5); the money line is ravens (-200) and Chiefs (+165); and the over/under is 44.5.

Ravens vs. Chiefs Predictions

SportingNews.com: Ravens 30, Chiefs 27

SportingNews.com says, “The Ravens will play well. The Chiefs will play well. This will be a classic duel between Mahomes and Jackson, much like we’ve seen with Mahomes vs. Tom Brady, Joe Burrow, and Josh Allen.” They add, “The quarterbacks, offenses, defenses, special teams, and coaches all are positioned to lead either team to victory. In the end, the Chiefs are still alive in the playoffs because of Mahomes, and it’s difficult to go against him in any such monumental matchup.”

Jordan Mendoza: Ravens 23, Chiefs 16

Mendoza gives the Ravens the win, saying, “After what Baltimore did to Houston, it’s hard to see any team beat this stacked squad. Kansas City looked like its old self against Buffalo, but the offense isn’t consistent enough to trust against a ruthless Baltimore defense. The Chiefs have enough to limit Lamar Jackson, but he’s able to break away late in the game to send the Ravens to the Super Bowl.” Find more USA Today writer picks here.

Anne Erickson of Alternative Fix: Ravens 27, Chiefs 17

I don’t see this one being close. Patrick Mahomes and Travis Kelce are still a dream team, but Mahomes is missing many of the offensive weapons he had at this time last season. I don’t think the Chiefs will be able to contain Lamar Jackson, so I see difficulties with the Chiefs’ defenses and offenses handing Baltimore. It should be a good game, but I don’t see it being super close, and I’m giving it to the Ravens.
