There are some NFL teams that are always expected to do well, such as the Green Bay Packers. Then, there are others that never do well, like the Detroit Lions.

That said, it’s more difficult being the former, because there are expectations. Now, the Packers have lost five consecutive games, and fans are not happy about it.

I love a good quote, and Rasul Douglas of the Packers is giving us plenty of good ones in his latest sound bite. He’s not sugarcoating the situation with the Packers. He’s simply calling it out for what it is: Not very good.

When a reporter asked Douglas for a list of reasons that the teams is struggling, Douglas was brutally honest. His most quotable comment is simply, “We suck cause we suck.” Geez. It doesn’t get any more clear than that. He also mentioned that the guys are doing the same things over and over. Watch the full video below.

Now, a new report from ESPN’s Jeremy Fowler says there appears to be growing discord inside Green Bay because “some of the young wide receivers have been painted as scapegoats” for the team’s difficulties. They say the comments from quarterback Aaron Rodgers aren’t “sitting well with some” given the league’s reigning MVP was absent during OTAs.

Fowler also said there’s “frustration over the defense, particularly on the back end, where communication and game plan issues have persisted.”

This is a tough one. On one hand, Rodgers is not well liked. A lot of people think he’s simply a jerk. But, of course, nobody knows that unless they’ve actually had experience with Rodgers. On the other hand, it seems to be human nature to want to see our idols fall. Rodgers is arguably one of the best quarterbacks of his generation. Perhaps the public just wants to see a great fall?

The Packers face the Dallas Cowboys this weekend. The world will be watching.
