There’s no denying that Aaron Rodgers is one of the greatest quarterbacks of his generation. He’s had some very rough games lately, with the Packers losing five consecutive games this season, but that really doesn’t take away from his legacy. Hey, even Tom Brady and his team are struggling this year. It’s just a rough time to be a veteran quarterback in the NFL.

Following last weekend’s Packers loss against the Detroit Lions, people are really buzzing about Rodgers. Some are even speculating that Rodgers could be benched. One of Rodgers’ former teammates, Greg Jennings, says Green Bay might opt to give Jordan Love more time on the field.

On a new episode of “The Carton Show,” Jennings was asked if the Packers should possibly bench Rodgers. Jennings said Love should be the starting quarterback if things get bad for he Packers.

“Of course,” Jennings said. “Sooner rather than later. Look at their schedule. In the next three games, you’ve got the Cowboys coming in this week, you’ve got the Titans coming in a few days later, and then you’ve got to go to Philly to face the Eagles. I believe, if they lose two out of these three games, which they could lose all three, it’s done. You’ve got to see what Jordan Love can do. You’ve got to give him an opportunity.” Check out moreย here.

Of course, it’s not all Rodgers’ fault for the Green Bay performance this season. Rodgers has completed 64.7% of his passes for 2,091 yards, 14 touchdowns and seven interceptions this season. Plus, plenty of fans are sticking with Rodgers through thick and thin and think he just needs some solid players around him to pull off some wins. Time will tell if Green Bay can pull itself out of this hole and if Rodgers will return next season.
