I don’t understand all the buzz around the New York Jets. I mean, in a sense, I get it. Aaron Rodgers is now in the fold. I’m sure that any team Aaron Rodgers became part of this year would be the most talked-about team in the NFL. But, the hype around the Jets is unreal right now.

Are the New York Jets Going to Deliver with Aaron Rodgers?

Up until this week, all I was hearing about was the New York Jets and their playoff potential with Rodger on  the team. But, now, there are rumblings of the offensive line with the Jets not being solid enough for Rodger. As you know, you can have a great quarterback, but if you don’t have the guys to receive his passes, you’re out of luck.

The Jets’ starting line is a bit of a question, as coach Robert Saleh could, perhaps, move right guard Alijah Vera-Tucker to right tackle. Vera-Tucker is one of the Jets’ best players, so it makes sense that Saleh wants to utilize him as best he can. But, Saleh has also said that Vera-Tucker could be an All-Pro as a guard. There are a lot of things up in the air when it comes to the offense, and that’s not a great thing.

Meanwhile, one intangible aspect of any great team is the team chemistry. What will that be like with Rodgers onboard? While the New York Jets are on this season of HBO’s “Hard Knocks,” the footage that’s been shown hasn’t really given an inside picture of that chemistry. If I were to give Rodgers advice, I would say that the team is looking up to him. He has the responsibility to be the best leader possible. He also has to be humble enough to see his teammates as equals. I’m curious to see where this season goes for Rogers, and I’m sure that I’m not the only one.
