We’re literally weeks away from Super Bowl 58, and eight teams are still in the running. While some of these teams are no strangers to the playoffs (I’m looking at you Kansas City and Green Bay), some are newbies (yes, Detroit). These final eight teams make for some thrilling Super Bowl options. So, what are some Super Bowl 58 scenarios we love?

Thankfully, we’re saved from a repeat of last year’s Super Bowl. Sure, the Kansas City Chiefs and Philadelphia Eagles would have made for a cool rematch. But, we’ve been there and done that. I’m personally happy to see some new blood in the running. Who doesn’t want to see a never-before-experienced Super Bowl matchup? Yes, please.

When ranking these matchups, I looked at both the athleticism of the teams, as well as the personalities and outside factors. Even if some of these teams aren’t the strongest of the eight remaining, maybe they have that X factor that just makes them so exciting to watch. Read on for the hype.

5. Kansas City Chiefs vs. San Francisco 49ers

Since the Chiefs are Super Bowl regulars, it’s very probable that they’ll make it to the Big Game again. Sure, we might be a little sick of seeing them at the Super Bowl. But, a Chiefs vs. 49s game could be really exciting. This would be a Super Bowl rematch, but not as boring as just redoing last year’s game. Patrick Mahomes vs. Brock Purdy would make for a great showdown, too.

4. Buffalo Bills vs. San Francisco 49ers

Many people thought this would be the year for the Buffalo Bills. They struggled a lot mid-season, but now, they’re back and stronger than ever. It would be riveting to see Buffalo up against the San Francisco 49ers in the final game. Josh Allen has never played in a Super Bowl, so that would be exciting for all involved.

3. Houston Texans vs. San Francisco 49ers

Lots of storylines here. DeMeco Ryans would be going up against a 49ers team where he was an assistant for six years. Also, Houston OC Bobby Slowik as worked for the 49ers. So, familiar faces meet again. Plus, it would be plum fun to see the Texans in the Super Bowl.

2. Baltimore Ravens vs. Detroit Lions

These teams went up against each other earlier in the season, and it was a blowout. But, for the Ravens, a lot of games from this season were blowouts. After the Ravens game, people were doubting the Detroit Lions’ credibility. That said, the Lions came back better and stronger than ever, and the Lions are a better team now than they were. So, this is a rematch made in football heaven.

1. Baltimore Ravens vs. San Francisco 49ers

This is the Super Bowl scenario that pretty much everyone wants to see. Okay, at least everyone whose teams are out of the running for the Big Game. But, not only would this would mark a rematch of Super Bowl XLVII, it would also bring together the two teams that fans and critics truly think are the strongest NFL teams right now. John Harbaugh vs. Kyle Shanahan? Bring it on.
