After plenty of teasing, the NFL schedule is here, including the must-see 2024 NFL games. The schedule dropped later than usual, so there was even more buzz and hype leading up to the big unveil. Now, we know what games are on tap for 2024, and we can start to get pumped. As a sports reporter, there are more than a few games I’m excited to see on the roster this upcoming season, so I’m going to list my personal picks. These matchups are already being talked about a ton, and they’re must-see 2024 NFL games.
Must-See 2024 NFL Games
Detroit Lions at San Francisco 49ers on Dec. 30 – 8:15 p.m. ET on ESPN, ABC
Last season’s NFC championship game was so wild, because it was looking like a Detroit Lions blowout until the 49ers suddenly came back, out of nowhere, to win the game. Now, the Lions can get some redemption. Not that they need it. The Lions had a remarkable season last year. But, they could have gone all the way, and they didn’t. If they beat the 49ers in this game, it will mean a lot to the team and Lions fans.
Houston Texans at New York Jets on Oct. 31 – 8:15 p.m. ET on Prime Video
Both the Houston Texans at New York Jets are super hyped up this season. Why? Their quarterbacks, of course. The Houston Texans have C.J. Stroud, and the New York Jets have Aaron Rodgers. This is shaping up to be a mega game and battle. The fact it’s on Halloween night will make it even more wild.
Kansas City Chiefs at Buffalo Bills on Nov. 17 – 4:25 p.m. ET on CBS
This game always gets a lot of buzz and attention, and it’s always a good game. There’s a huge rivalry between Patrick Mahomes and Josh Allen, and that always takes center stage in this game. This will certainly be one of the must-see 2024 NFL games.
Chicago Bears at Detroit Lions on Thanksgiving on Nov. 28 – 12:30 p.m. on CBS
The Detroit Lions always have a Thanksgiving Day game, and it hasn’t been a must-watch for decades. But, now it’s definitely a game you don’t want to miss. The Lions and Bears will go at it this season, bringing an interesting matchup between Caleb Williams and Jared Goff.
Baltimore Ravens at Kansas City Chiefs on Sept. 5 – 8:20 p.m. EST on NBC
This is an AFC championship rematch of sorts. The Kansas City Chiefs took down the Baltimore Ravens in the championship game last season, and now, the Ravens are back to get their revenge. This game, of course, will feature Lamar Jackson against Patrick Mahomes. Both of those guys are considered among the best quarterbacks in the NFL, if not the best.
Kansas City Chiefs at San Francisco 49ers on Oct. 20 – 1:25 p.m. PT on FOX
The Super Bowl rematch game is always a big one, and this year will be no exception. This game wasn’t really close, so I don’t see the 49ers taking down the Chiefs, but you never know. Either way, it will be one of the must-see 2024 NFL games.
